Join our staff as they take you on a tag-a-long 4WD tour of the South East Drains and stay overnight at historic Cantara Homestead in the Coorong National Park. We will travel in convoy to Martin Washpool Conservation Park, visiting the southern end of the Morella Basin, the drain at Bonneys Camp and the causeway at the northern end of the basin, just before the water flows into Salt Creek.
We will stop about half way along Morella Basin, overlooking the water, for lunch in the shade of the gum trees – you will need to bring your own picnic lunch, drink and chair.
After lunch we will travel to Cantara Homestead. While at Cantara, we will show the original Storm Boy movie. Take time to check out the displays showing details of the history of Cantara and its restoration. You will also have the opportunity for a Ranger Guided sunset walk through the sand dunes to the ocean beach. This will be a moderately difficult walk of approximately 3kms (return), through the sand dunes.
You are welcome to camp overnight at Cantara. Showers, toilets barbecue and the kitchen are available. Electricity is not available for the camping sites.Visit website
