Call into the local Visitor Information Centres located in Mannum, Murray Bridge and Goolwa, grab a brochure, then start exploring the local history and heritage.
Mannum’s Randall, Shearer and Arnold Walks and Murray’s Bridge’s Rail & River Heritage Walks showcase the towns’ intriguing history.
Tailem Bend has several walks/trails all available under the ‘River Rail Road Trail’, a map that encompasses four different journeys in and around Tailem Bend: a geocaching adventure; the River Bend Heritage Trail; the main street attractions walk and a Historic Rail Trail.
Meningie also features beautiful walks: the Lions walking trail and the Meningie Yunti Ngopun Ngami – the Ngarrindjeri phrase for ‘Together We Walk’ or Pelican Path walk.
The river port of Goolwa is historic, with the entire main street heritage listed. It is a beautiful walk, which ends down on the wharf.
