For a delicious introduction to this natural larder, call into the Murray Bridge Farmers Market (Saturdays from 8am–12pm). This is a great place to stock up on seasonal fruit and vegetables, oven-baked breads and pizzas, honey, olive oil, potted herbs and more; or just relax over a fresh coffee and farmer’s breakfast.

The Goolwa Wharf Markets are open every first and third Sunday of each month, and feature a huge variety of produce, goods, craft and food.

For fruits such as apricots and oranges, head to Mypolonga . If you’re looking for a pit stop on the way from Adelaide to Melbourne, The Big Olive at Tailem Bend is the perfect place, with olive oil tastings, freshly brewed coffee and snacks.
