The False Cape vineyard was established in 1999 by the Follett family of Langhorne Creek, who have had a long association with Kangaroo Island.
The Follett’s began grape growing in Langhorne Creek in the 1880’s and established the award winning Lake Breeze winery in 1987. They have embarked upon a journey to produce some of the best quality and value wines on the island.
The False Cape vineyard is located four kilometres inland from the rugged south coast between Penneshaw and Cape Willoughby and was selected specifically for its terra rossa soil and cool maritime conditions. The wines produced here exhibit excellent varietal characters and intense colour, and with carefully cellaring will age well.
The False Cape range of wines are available at all wine stores, hotels and restaurants on Kangaroo Island, along with the Lake Breeze cellar door at Langhorne Creek.Visit website
