Set in the Adelaide foothills, giant granite rocks abound across the beautiful meandering tree lined landscape between Tungkillo and Palmer.
A panoramic lookout offers you vistas across the Murray Plains. Sitting high on the hill is ‘Bear Rock’, usually painted white although you may see him in Australian flag colours on Australia Day, pink for breast cancer awareness, decorated for Christmas, or in the local sporting teams’ premiership colours!
This bear-shaped rock has been a landmark for years and is iconic in the Murray River Lakes & Coorong region.
Watch out for the Elephant, and also the frog, which is sometimes hard to find.
