These are an easy and affordable option for short stays, or a stopover when travelling through the Murray River Lakes & Coorong.

Goolwa Riverport Motel

Goolwa Riverport Motel is located 60 minutes south of Adelaide, South Australia, in the heart of the Fleurieu Peninsula. Nestled in a tranquil setting, it is surrounded by shaded lawned grounds. There are 18 comfortable units all at ground level including double/twin, family and spa units.

Located within 20 kilometres of Victor Harbor, five minutes to Encounter Bay beaches and walking distance to the mighty Murray River.

There is a fully licensed a la carte restaurant, open seven nights. Some of the features include a swimming pool, tennis/volleyball court and ample parking adjacent to units. Golf and Coorong Cruise bookings are available from the front desk.

Meningie's Waterfront Motel

Meningie's Waterfront Motel is a member of the Budget Motel Chain and has 11 ensuite units accommodating up to four people. Some rooms are literally right on the bank of the lake and from which you can enjoy the abundant bird life and the breathtaking sunsets over Lake Albert. All rooms have television, DVD, tea/coffee making facilities, most have reverse cycle air conditioning, others a ceiling fan and heater, clock radio, electric blankets and free wireless broadband Internet is available in the vicinity of reception. Breakfast is available in the Bistro.

Meningie is a pretty holiday destination one and a half hours south east of Adelaide on the shores of Lake Albert and at the northern end of the beautiful and unique Coorong. The Coorong National Park has many trails for bush walking, bird watching and sightseeing. Meningie is a perfect stopover spot on the Melbourne-Adelaide route or if you are going to or from Kangaroo Island.
