Our region boasts a proud, wine-growing tradition. Langhorne Creek, one of the oldest wine regions in South Australia, is gaining an international reputation for its wines and several now operate cellar doors. 'The Creek' is a great day trip option, with lots of space for the kids too. We also have a medley of other hidden gems you can check out during your travels in our region.

Bremerton, Lake Breeze and Bleasdale are award-winning wineries and family owned and operated, while The Winehouse stocks some of the region’s more boutique labels, plus craft beer from the Meechi brewery. The Langhorne Creek Wine Region has been gaining international reputation making it a great location to stop for a meal and enjoy the tranquility of "The Creek".

If you are feeling like a drop of beer instead of wine, fear not because we have breweries in the region too. Meechi Brewing Co is a craft beer available for tastings at The Winehouse in Langhorne Creek. Down towards the mouth you can enjoy the Steam Exchange Brewery.

Wine lovers will find many other small producers in their travels, such as Willow Point Wines, just south of Murray Bridge, who are known for their amazing range of fortifieds, and Heward Estate Wines, which bottles under the name of Mannum Cliffs Wines, can be purchased at outlets across the region. Our region also host many other's along our borders, with our neighbours the Riverland, Adelaide Hills, Limestone Coast and Barossa also well-known for their vineyards. Local wine can be found at most eateries to complement your Murray River, Lakes & Coorong experience.
