Chilled wines and relaxed times at Kimbolton

On sun-drenched summer days, a refreshing can of Kimbolton Wines Rose Spritz is all you need to cool off. The delicate, dry finish of this aromatic, crisp wine includes hints of raspberries and red berry flavours to wash away the January heat.

This wine style is a first for the Langhorne Creek Wine Region – but it’s not the first delicious innovation for Kimbolton. So if you love discovering new, fresh tastes and unique places, plan a summer visit to  their magnificent cellar door to discover why Kimbolton and their wines have quickly become a crowd favourite.

With Kimbolton celebrating 5 years in the game this month, there’s never been a better time to visit – and you could even join the fun at a rooftop party for the Santos Tour Down Under.

Lazy afternoons with friends and family

Pair the fruity flavours of Kimbolton’s Rose Spritz with a seasonal platter that boasts pate, cheeses, meats, and fresh produce. This tantalising combo will set the scene for a lazy afternoon spent with family and friends – just what we all need after the festive season rush.

The view is best admired on the rooftop, where you can overlook sprawling vineyards below while being shaded by beautiful gumtrees.

If you’re planning on bringing the kids these school holidays, they can enjoy a special flight tasting starring three yummy Bickford’s cordials and a tasty sample of cheese, kabana, and chocolate. They’ll also love the lawn games and additional activity pack, complete with a pencil tube and bubbles that they get to take home.

Want to bring your furry friend along for the fun? Your four-legged companion is more than welcome to join in on the wine tasting fun. With plenty of outdoor spaces to roam and relax, your pet will love exploring the winery just as much as you will.

Accessible cellar door experiences

Kimbolton has also recently been awarded accessible tourism accreditations in two areas – Accessible Tourism Limited Mobility and Accessible Tourism Wheelchairs and Scooters.

Fitted out for your convenience, the indoor and patio seating is step-free and includes both backrests and armrests. Tables are also available at an appropriate height if you’re using a seated mobility device with plenty of leg clearance underneath.

Race from the Rooftop

Australia’s biggest cycling event of the year, the Santos Tour Down Under, is touring through the Langhorne Creek Wine Region on January 19. Sit back and relax on the rooftop for prime views of the Hahn Men’s Stage 4 race, with a dedicated front deck for wheelchair accessible race views.

Tickets include a glass of Kimbolton wine (from the core range), with a food truck on-site offering burgers and other family friendly options for purchase.

With limited spots available, get in quick to secure your spot here.

Explore the region

Kimbolton’s rooftop bar isn’t the only place to catch Tour Down Under action. Stay a night in a Bridgeport Hotel Deluxe Bridgeview Suite for private views of the cyclists crossing our historic twin bridges.

Bleasdale are hosting a family friendly lawn party where you’ll be spoilt to a glass of wine on arrival and a bouncy house to keep the little ones entertained.

For all the foodies out there, the Lake Breeze long lunch might be more your style, featuring a seasonal menu with local produce.

Towards the final stretch, Goolwa are hosting the Cittaslow Markets, where you can support small businesses and pick up some mementos for your trip.

You can even get out on the water with the PS Oscar W running specialty cruises from the new wharf precinct.

We’ll see you in the ‘Creek this January!
