About Murray River Lakes & Coorong Tourism Alliance (MRLCTA)

The Murray River Lakes & Coorong tourism region includes six local government areas.

Rural City of Murray Bridge (all)

Mid Murray Council (part)

Coorong District Council (all)

District Council of Karoonda East Murray (all)

Southern Mallee District Council (all)

Alexandrina Council (part)

MRLCTA receives funding from all councils with further funding and support from the South Australian Tourism Commission.

MRLCTA is an independent regional tourism organisation constituted as an Incorporated Association. The MRLCTA skills-based Board meets bi-monthly comprising tourism industry representatives as well as representatives from two of the six partner councils and other related industry sectors.

MRLCTA’s activities contributes to an enhanced visitor experience in the region, encouraging more visitors, repeat visitation, longer stays, regional dispersion, visitor and community advocacy. Increased visitor numbers/nights and spending are key to the ongoing development and sustainability of the region’s tourism businesses and jobs growth.

Tourism businesses and events located within the Murray River Lakes & Coorong tourism region will automatically have a business listing on this site if they are registered with the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW), which is free in SA. There is also opportunity for neighbours near MRLC borders.

To submit feedback, information, updates and images for consideration please contact Tourism Development Manager.
