“Getting There” Art Exhibition

Artists Christine Denman and Patricia Kahl present “Getting There”, a transport-themed exhibition of photographic and canvas artworks on display at the Arnold Gallery, located within the Mannum Visitor Information Centre.

The exhibition explores movement, memory and the spaces in between, using transport as both subject and metaphor. From quiet platforms to busy streets, roads, harbours and terminals, the works reflect moments of transition where lives intersect, directions shift and destinations remain uncertain.

Blending bold canvas pieces with evocative photographic works, the exhibition captures both the physical mechanics of travel and its emotional undercurrent, including anticipation, nostalgia, urgency and reflection. Visitors are invited to consider ideas of departure, arrival and the universal human desire to move forward.

This exhibition offers an opportunity to experience contemporary works by local artists in a thoughtful and reflective setting.
