The Swan Reach and District Museum tells the story of the people who lived on this magnificent part of the Murray River.

Come and see the brand new displays in the old Schoolhouse.
New buildings display stories of the Telegraph, the blacksmith, the ferryman and the workman who built the William Randell Lock, lock 1, the first constructed on the Murray.

The museum’s collection consists of documents, photographs and historical items from Swan Reach and river and rural communities of Murkbo, Maggea, Cooeville, Bowhill, Black Hill and Blanchetown.
